About

Us

Our work reflects a shared belief that every life holds wisdom worth remembering.

We bring a depth of experience and care to the work of witnessing a life and honoring what matters most.

Daphne Cohn, Co-Founder & Interviewer

For more than fifteen years, Daphne Cohn has been guiding conversations that move beneath the surface. Conversations that uncover truth, memory, and meaning. As a writer, interviewer, and longtime host of the Slow Inside podcast, Daphne’s work has always centered on one devotion: helping people come home to themselves through presence, reflection, and story.

In The Legacy Project, Daphne brings that same devotion to the art of remembering. Her interview process is intuitive and deeply human. A guided journey that helps people discover insights they didn’t know they carried, and name the wisdom that has quietly shaped their lives.

Through her grounded presence and heartfelt curiosity, Daphne holds each conversation as a ceremony of honoring. Her words, together with Erica’s photographs, become the soul of every Legacy Book. A tangible remembrance of who someone truly is.

Erica Scott, Co-Founder & Photographer

Erica Scott is a lifelong witness to the sacred ordinary. Her more than two-decade career behind the lens stretches from red carpet premieres and high-profile events to intimate portraiture and weddings of all sizes. Erica’s photography is rooted in connection, intimacy, and honesty. Her images capture people as they are —  revealing the beauty that emerges when we are met with reverence.

Her volunteer work with hospice residents at the Center For Conscious Living and Dying (CCLD) — sitting at the bedside of those nearing the end of life — has further shaped her innate understanding of what it means to be truly seen. From these moments has come a deeper appreciation for how much it means to have our lives lovingly reflected back to us.

Through The Legacy Project, Erica brings her vast experience in photography and custom coffee-table book design to help craft each person’s story into a tangible, timeless reflection of who they are and the life they’ve lived.

About You

You’re someone who feels called to reflect, and you’re looking for a way to honor a life well-lived.

You feel inspired give someone dear to you — a parent, grandparent, relative, or friend — something real to hold. They may be entering a new chapter or nearing a transition, and you want to capture what has shaped them.

They don’t need to have “accomplished” something extraordinary to have a story that matters; what matters is who they have become along the way. You want to offer them a tangible honoring of their voice, their stories, and their enduring presence.

How it all began

The Legacy Project began long before it had a name, in two parallel paths quietly moving toward each other.

Daphne and Erica first met in 2018 to begin a creative collaboration. From that meeting grew a deep friendship, which has become an anchoring force in their lives and the foundation of this work.

Daphne has spent decades in conversation interviewing teachers, visionaries, and everyday people with extraordinary depth. At the same time, for more than 20 years Erica has been creating luminous portraits that celebrate people exactly as they are.

The Legacy Project emerged from these two experiences meeting in the middle:

A photographer who sees the soul inside.
And an interviewer who listens for what matters most.

The Legacy Project is Daphne and Erica’s shared offering to families and future generations:

A way of saying, Your story matters.
